Dry Stains

First, rub the affected area with the dry hand towel. This will help reveal the nap of the fabric. Next, softly rub the eraser over the entire stain. There are suede erasers that you can purchase if the stain is larger, and they also work well for the day to day maintenance of the piece.

Just take some paper towels , or any cloth handy, and lift as much of the liquid off the couch as you can. Next, dampen a small towel with water and ΒΌ cup of white vinegar. Gently rub the mixture over the area you wish to clean. This should remove most of the stain, but if it is too severe, you may need to move onto the next step.

If you are not comfortable cleaning your suede couch with these methods, or if the couch was expensive, you may want to seek the services of a professional. There are protective treatments that can be applied to the couch directly after it is purchased.
